Train with Sarah
Happy birthday to …. … (plus bad news IF you do NOT read this)
Since Vince DelMonte’s site went live about 12 hours ago, 70 DVD copies have been pulled off the shelves! They are on track for selling out by Friday. That’s a fact, not a sales hype!

I want to share something with you today. There’s a lot more to be said on the subject, such as the suspected and partly proven origins of the “swine” flu, but for now I just want you to be aware of a couple of little things.
It seems that the US is planning on mandatory vaccination … what, at gun-point? How else are they going to force people? Threaten to take their homes, cars, kids away? I don’t know, and I hope Canada never gets an idea that wild, but in case it does come to forced vaccination, here’s what the Health Ranger has to say about what you can do to minimize the risks involved with the “vaccine” (apparently a good worse than the evil it’s supposed to combat):

Do you need more cardio to get rid of the belly fat?
Well, according to the trainer a colleague of mine saw last week, yes. He also told her to eat low fat cottage cheese, low-fat or fat-free cheese, 0% fat yoghurt etc with that same goal in mind. Finally she was told to cut out fried food and rice.
The thing I can agree with, is cutting the fried foods, as long as we’re talking deep fried and not sautéed in a pan with a spray of cooking oil.
Eliminating rice? No, why? Rice is fine, in moderation (i.e. portion control) and as long as you chose the whole grain rice rather than the polished, white variety with all nutrients removed. Oh, and have that rice for lunch, not for supper.

They say a picture paints a 1000 words. I’ll let you decide from these photos whether you’d like to check out Every Other Day Diet and 7 Minute Muscle for yourself.

This photo was taken Monday morning, at 5 am. At this point, I’d already done my 7 minutes of weight training and 9 minutes of cardio – you don’t need more than 3 days a week of that cardio, but I do it for 5, I find it rounds off the weight training – had a shower, my supplements, breakfast and put on a little make-up plus got dressed. Ready to attack a work-day with one hour morning overtime and 2 hours in the afternoon, full of energy from the morning workout!

“Diets” and social life, do they mix? Are they compatible?
Last night, we went to our favourite restaurant (yes, in the middle of RFLB) and I had the snails for starters (they make them so perfectly, not chewy/rubbery at all, and not in garlic butter either, just garlic water/stock) and then a chicken stick with a salad – no dressing just oil and vinegar. And today … 1 pound down; so yes, I know I can go out even on a plan like the RFLB, be served and not “blow” the plan.

Here’s the story of a mayonaise jar and of coffee.
When it seems to you that there are « too many » things in your life, when 24
hours seem insufficient … remember the jar of mayonaise and coffee !
There was a philosophy professor who placed a large mayonaise jar in front of his class
and without saying a word started to fill it up with golf balls.
He then asked the class if this jar was full. The students all agreed that it was.

I’m sure many of you wonder how they are going to manage to juggle their private life, working for the boss, and taking time for themselves at the gym. During my first years of work and training, I was lucky enough that I was working at my own gym. This of course made training during working hours pretty darned simple!
For the past two years, I’ve been working from home, training clients on-line and pretty much being master of my own time. Again, training schedule has not been a problem. However, in both cases, I did make a schedule that I stuck to; to make sure I didn’t just let the day pass without having done my workout. You can’t always trust willpower, even as a trainer (yes, we procrastinate too at times).

Burn The Fat Feed The Muscle BFFM ?). You’ve made your plan and started out on your journey. You hold the reins of your team of horses (see stagecoach above), but somehow they keep pulling you off to the side … …

I’ve told you about Jon Benson’s Every Other Day Diet (EODD) before, and both Lewis and I have been using the easy-to-follow principles for months now. What is it, half a year or more? Now, Jon Benson didn’t just sit back and relax, happy to have shared his EODD with everyone. No, he sat down and worked some more.
The result is the new, revised EODD 2.0 which is so radically different from the original version that we’re almost talking about two different books and plans altogether. In this version, you even find out what Jon himself eats in a day; and when you see a picture of this lean and muscular former fatty (his words), you just know that it’s within reach for everyone to get to the degree of leanness we want.
