Read below as Veronica Trejo, a Diet Solution customer, shares 2 essential secrets that have helped her and her husband lose their unwanted weight and the lessons they learned along the way.

Here’s exactly what Veronica had to say:

I’ve tried weight watchers on my own, anything that was in the frozen section that was low in fat for losing weight, a high protein diet, Tom Venuto’s meal plan (too much food) I’m sure it works for bodybuilders but that was an era in my life that is long gone. I just wanted a realistic approach to diet and exercise. I tried special offers on the internet, I don’t recall the names. I read a ton of stuff until I ran into Isabel through Mommy Abs Makeover teleseminar. I signed up even though I wasn’t a mom. I wanted to be prepared when I did become one. (And if you’ve seen Isabel pregnant she looks super adorable!) (Oh, you’re too kind.)

My biggest struggle before starting the Diet Solution was Sugar and Sweets, Pan Dulce (Mexican sweet bread), strawberry cake, anything with sugar, Bread, pizza, and portion control…I ate exactly like my husband.

I also struggled to commit. I couldn’t commit for the life of me. I would always say I can do it whenever I want but the pounds kept piling on. Once I hit 162 at 5’4", I decided It’s time for a CHANGE!

My first week after I started, the Sugar, oh my…I was totally having withdrawals…I wanted cupcakes and cupcakes. I thought it was so weird how I was behaving and how I craved sugar. But the fabulous news was that I had lost 7lbs.

I was able to overcome my struggles with sugar by taking it day by day …yes having sweets until I eventually could control the amount of sugar I put in my mouth (only on the weekend). Cold Turkey wasn’t going to work for me. I’d say after a month I was doing pretty good but after 2 months I was in control and if felt pretty darn good.

Ok, let’s stop right there. This is definitely Fat Loss Secret #1 and one we can all embrace and learn. Sometimes, cold turkey is just not going to work and we need to take big changes like this ONE DAY AT A TIME. Did you gain all of your unwanted weight overnight? No, of course not. In the same way I would not expect you to change every single one of your habits overnight. If you need to eat a little bit of sugar each day until you have eventually decreased it significantly, that’s perfectly fine. The most important part is that you are working towards a healthy goal. For example, tell yourself you are going to eliminate one sugar item every three days or each day decrease the serving size by a set amount. The key here is to ensure you are continuing to move towards your goal and just like Veronica, you will get there!

Back to Veronica…

I’ve started to combine Turbulence Training for exercise one month after I began using The Diet Solution and my husband and I have lost 11 lbs. My husband Ricardo wasn’t overweight. He tried everything I tried and he could never get out of 174 lbs. On a bright shiny day he weighed himself and he was 163 lbs. We were pumped!

We have more energy. I do not feel sluggish. I feel like I have life in me again..I missed it so much.

What I enjoy the most about our new healthy way of eating is that we love the self-control and we love how much we enjoy eating flavorful, healthy food. How can you live that way? Life is tough enough and if you are not enjoying the food you eat chances are your plan will not last very long. When choosing a healthy weight loss plan, it must contain foods you enjoy. Of course, be sure to take advantage of all of the delicious recipes in the manual. I strive to try one new recipe each day to keep my healthy eating fresh and interesting. When you have committed yourself to a healthy way of life for a lifetime, trying new foods and new recipes is really a must!

Once last note from Veronica..

I am currently using the DSP for my Dad. He was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure and the nurse told him that he had to limit his salt intake. You would not believe that we add Redmond’s Salt (unrefined sea salt) to everything and he has not had a negative effect whatsoever.

Which goes to show that sometimes conventional wisdom is not really what is best for us. We really need to keep an open mind and realize that some of the nutrition facts we’ve been told over and over again just may not be the truth or what is best for us. For me personally, if not for opening up my mind to a completely different approach to losing weight, I may have never lost those 30 lbs that were plaguing me for years.
