Warp Speed Fat Loss – By Alwyn Cosgrove

This book is crazy! I mean that in a good way of course. The introduction starts out saying you can drop 17 lbs in the following 4 weeks … that is huge!

Obviously not something you’ll follow forever, this plan is designed for fast fat loss, warp speed it is. I don’t know about you, but warp speed … it conjures up images of space ships zooming away into space so fast you can’t even see them. Well, a 17-pound drop in fat in 4 weeks sounds like it’s pretty close to that zooming space ship! And also something we’ll all want to see on our own scales.

In Warp Speed Fat Loss you are told to weigh in every day, contrary to all other fatloss books I’ve come across. Of course, the program being just 4 weeks long, you’ll need the feedback as fast as you can get it, but you are also warned not to get too hung-up in the day-to-day numbers as there will be days with no measurable loss.

At the end of the nutrition and training chapters, there are extensive FAQ sections, as well as a link where you can ask your own specific question if it’s not in that long list. These FAQs are a good help in clearing up any uncertainties or misunderstandings you may have from reading the manual itself.

One thing I really like about the program, is that it’s not over-filled with scientific mumbo-jumbo that most of us don’t want to read, or even don’t always understand; Cosgrove and Roussell just sit there as good-natured dictators and say “Do this” “Eat that” and that’s all there is to it. Every detail is explained and laid out in easy-to-follow tables, all you have to do is … well, do as you’re told basically. Of course, the great results will only come from doing as you’re told too, so you’ll want to follow the plan.

This seems like an anything but easy program though. Simple, but not easy. The good thing about it, is that it’s only for 4 weeks. 28 days. Anyone can stick to a plan for 28 days. If it helps, draw up 28 squares on a sheet of paper and cross them off from 28 to 1, that way you always see where you are in the program. Then concentrate, focus, and go for lean.

All you need to do once you’ve read the comparatively few pages of actual information, is to pick out the nutrition plan that corresponds to your bodyweight and print that; and print the training program; and you’re set. OK, before you dive in, check that your kitchen contains what you need from the food plan, and that your gym membership is still valid!
